V5FF-GR-320 is a high‑temperature diffuse reflective glass‑fiber sensor head in a compact cylindrical form (similar family to V5FF-GR‑420/620), used together with a separate fiber amplifier for close‑range presence detection of small objects in harsh environments. It is intended for locations where ambient temperatures are too high for standard plastic fiber or molded photoelectric sensors and where very small targets must be detected in tight spaces.
Typical characteristics and key functions:
Glass‑fiber construction rated for roughly −40°C to around +350°C at the sensing end, allowing mounting near heaters, sealing jaws, ovens, or hot filling zones.
Diffuse reflective operation (emitter and receiver in the same head), suitable for presence / absence, part positioning, and edge detection based on reflected light from the target surface.
Small head diameter with threaded body (M3/M4 class, depending on version) for easy integration into jigs and brackets and for close mounting near the workpiece.
Works with fiber amplifiers such as V5FF‑401 / V5FF‑403 (or equivalent), which provide sensitivity adjustment, high‑speed response, and output to PLCs, so the head can stay in the hot zone while electronics remain in a cooler panel.
Typical applications include detection of capsules, small metal parts, screws, or features on components in filling, packaging, and general high‑temperature industrial processes.
